This is our first Life in the Public Square program, the purpose of which is to cast a broad light on life issues such as abortion, cloning, euthanasia, and end of life issues. These programs which will be hosted by Alexandra Berauer will air about every two months. Stay tuned to our program schedule. With the defeat of the last challenge to a UK law preventing the creation of human hybrids, the prospect of similar legal protections to human-animal hybrids and similar scientific research creeps a little closer to our shores. Guest David Llewellyn of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence discusses the legal aspects of such laws. In the second hour, Dr. Fazali Rana of Reasons to Believe brings a scientific light to the discussion of human cloning and creation of human-animal hybrids sometimes called cybrids or "Chimera".
